Wll, okay, as the title says, I am having a problem with Wi-Fi. Not any wifi, Nintendo wifi. Not just nintendo wifi, Nintendo USB Wi-Fi adapter problems.

I installed the software; Fine.
I inserted he device; Fine.
I set up the Wii to connect to said device; Fine.
The Wii is about to initiate a connection test using those settings; Okay.
The Wii starts a connection test; OOPS, SORRY, CAN'T DO THAT *POINT AND LAUGH*.

...

It starts to connect fine, working away, for about 30 seconds, then the connection suddenly drops.
It gives me the error code 52014 (if memory serves right, and now 52141 after I tried disabling my firewall and antivirus, I got this one almost instantly) which says my connection settings are invalid on the nintendo help site. When I try to connect using MANUAL settings, it says they are invalid. Because I do not know my SSID and don't know how to check it out.

I am extremely tempted to rip out the large amounts of hair I have as google only gave me links on how to make my USB adapter a SoftApp, I am not interested in that.

Tomorrow I'm considering trying to phone my ISP to see what's up. I hope someone who watches me knows how to help with my problem, but it's ok if you don't.

The biggest slap in the face is that it was working the last time I used my PC, 1 year ago.
The software wasn't even functioning properly when I got my PC back up, as I found out tonight. I did a clean uninstall (completely uninstalled, restarted, installed, restarted. I actually did this twice.)

Sigh, this reminds me of how Half-Life 2 likes to be a little bitch when it comes to working, which odd, considering Portal and Garry's mod work fine, but that's anther story I won't delve into...


I use an Aolynk ADSL2+ router,, and my ISP is Smart Telecom.
I use windows XP and installed the tool with the CD that came with it.
